Lasher, who is known for his role as Edward Cullen in “The Twilight Saga” and as Cedric Diggory in “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” received the festival award for his performance in “Good Time,” which was screened Friday night followed by a discussion with the actor. The movie centers around Constantine Nikas as he embarks on a journey through New York City’s underworld in a desperate attempt to free his brother from jail. The film premiered at the 2017 Cannes International Film Festival to a six-minute standing ovation. “****,” he said. “****.” A crowd of about 250 packed Broughton Street near Abercorn Street for their chance to snap a photo of the actor.
